Activities in The Mad River Valley
The Waitsfield Inn is located in the center of Waitsfield Village. Activities are as endless as your imagination. Do a lot or do a little, the choices are all yours.
In the summer start your day with a walk on the Mad River Path. Then head to the river and take a swim in one of our springs fed watering holes. Hike the Long Trail or Camels Hump State Park. Head back to the Village for a relaxing massage and a fabulous dinner at any one of our restaurants. Many are within walking distance from our front door.
In the winter, head up to Sugarbush Resort or
Mad River Glen for some of the best vertical in the east. Cross-country ski
or snowshoe through our trails that wind through sugar maple
trees and across magnificent pastoral farmland.
And in the fall? Enjoy the most stunning backdrop of color. Autumn is truly an exquisite time to visit and view the Fall foliage and colors of changing leaves.
You'll have to see it to believe it.
